A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Michael Del Core is a double fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand, shoulder, and elbow surgery. He completed his undergraduate degree and medical school at Saint Louis University. He then completed his residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where he was inducted into the AOA honors society. During his residency, he spent three months training in Auckland, New Zealand. He went on to complete two one-year fellowships. The first was a fellowship at the University of Southwestern specializing in hand, wrist, and microvascular surgical techniques. The second fellowship was at the Cleveland Clinic focusing on the entire treatment of shoulder and elbow pathology including shoulder replacements and rotator cuff tears. Dr. Del Core has completed nearly 20 peer review publications and dedicates his practice to treating the full spectrum of upper extremity conditions.
Dr. Del Core holds candidate memberships in multiple professional organizations including the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). He is excited to be back in Omaha and is a part of MD West ONE, one of the largest groups of orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons in the area.
